Our client is an established investment manager with a substantial book of assets under management. Their distribution channels were anchored to desktop and traditional processes, which limited how new investors could discover, onboard, and manage their investments. They wanted to extend investment distribution to iOS and Android, letting investors engage through mobile on their own terms. They needed a partner who could take on full product engineering responsibility and deliver quickly without compromising quality or security.

We took on product engineering responsibility end to end, designing the solution around a modern cross-platform mobile stack that would ship to both iOS and Android from a single codebase - the decision that made a compressed delivery window realistic. We prioritised rapid iteration with Expo and React Native, robust CI/CD through GitHub Actions for automated builds and store submissions, secure authentication meeting financial sector standards, and an experience that feels native on both platforms. Close collaboration with the client stakeholders kept the app aligned with their distribution strategy and investor experience expectations from day one.

The majority of the firm's new investor onboarding now happens through the mobile application - a significant shift in how they acquire and serve investors. The apps are live on both app stores, extending reach to mobile-first investors without diluting the brand or the compliance posture. A compressed delivery window showed that complex financial products can reach mobile quickly when engineering is owned end to end by the right partner.
